World-View Series ("It's Greek to Me!")
The War of the World Views:

"What has Athens to do with Jerusalem?"
Quintus Septimius Florens Tertullianus, anglicised as Tertullian (c. 160 - c. 220 AD)
If you have ever wondered why Christianity is so different from its mother-faith Judaism, this series of Sermons will bring the truth to light. If Truth even matters to you at all, then it behooves you to listen to this Sermon Series. It may well change your life!
Since Alexander the Great came and conquered the Holy Land, the people of Israel have never been the same. Greek thought came into the Land and a group of Jews became "Hellenized".
Many adopted a world-view contrary to that which they were born: the Greek World-view (Hellenized Jews). Others retained their Scriptural (Hebraic) foundation (Maccabees) and fought to preserve it. As a result, a civil war erupted in the Land between those who sought Greek identity and practice and those who desired to remain faithful to the Torah. This was known as the Maccabean War.
In the end, the Maccabees won the battle, but the war is still being fought - this time in the Church. This series brings out the dynamics of the Greek and Hebraic world-views and shows how the Greek World-view has taken over in the Church over the centuries. In the Church, Antiochus won.
This Series provides an argument that as believers in Messiah Yeshua ("Christ Jesus") we must go back to the Hebraic world-view: that of the Bible.

This is a sequel to the five-part Sermon Series on The War of the Worldviews given by Bruce R. Booker.
In it we explore the reasons why it is so difficult to communicate our love for the Torah and for God by desiring to keep it to our Christian family, friends, and brothers and sisters. The difficulty begins with lens we view Scripture through (our World-view). It is made even more difficult due to the differences in world-view being reflected in our own terminology (language).
If we fail to communicate Scripture from the Hebraic World-view to our Greek World-view Christian listeners, we will get blank stares as we share with them the importance of Torah in their faith-walk as believers.
God said many times in His Word, "If you love Me, keep My commandments."
Yet, today the Church overall ignores the commandments and thinks it is walking a holy walk. We MUST come back to God's Holy Book from the world-view that He built into His people: the Hebraic one so that we can Do what He says. We MUST leave the Greek world-view behind to do this!

How did pagan practices creep into the Church? How did Greek thinking (the Greek World-View) wrestle away the Biblical Feasts of Leviticus 23 from the Church and replace them with previously pagan observations formerly to Greek and Roman gods?

God's ways are not our ways. God's thoughts are not our thoughts. Our human methods for attaining leadership are contrary to God's ways. In God's Kingdom, one must humble themselves and become servants to advance in position. This two-part series explores God's Biblical Model of Leadership.
