We'd like to welcome you to our Survival Supplies Store!
Radical??? Well, not really. There are good reasons to be prepared for troubled times ahead. Here in the United States, our economy is in serious trouble; we have had a heat wave that has set records.
Around the world there is war, famine, pestilence, and other natural disasters.
3 As He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?"
4 And Jesus answered and said to them, "See to it that no one misleads you. 5 "For many will come in My name, saying, `I am the Christ,' and will mislead many. 6 "You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. 7 "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. 8 "But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.
While many Christian pastors, teachers, and professors are teaching their people that we will be "Raptured out of here..." before the Great Tribulation starts, we at Beth Yeshua Messianic Congregation in Priest River, Idaho are teaching that we should be prepared for any eventuality.
Current events have shown that it is prudent and wise to prepare for other emergencies (other than the Great Tribulation). Several years back there was Hurricane Katrina and many people waited futilely for help from the government, but there was no help for over a week. The United States has also experienced other disasters: tornadoes, earthquakes, floods, etc. It would be prudent and wise to prepare for events like these instead of expecting the local or federal governments to take care of us.
In fact, we have just held a field class on finding herbs and plants (Sunday, July 31) in our local area for use as medicine. Last year we had a class on cellular salts (and will schedule another in the near future) and how they can benefit a person when other medicine is unavailable.
We agree with Mike Clayton, of Torah is Life.org when he writes this on his site:
"This site is devoted to the belief that Yeshua HaMashiach is the Messiah over the whole House of Israel. His return to set up His Kingdom is very near. We seek to help prepare His family for the troublesome days which scripture states will precede His coming, the time of Jacob's Trouble. Deuteronomy 30 tells us that Torah will give us life through every situation and circumstance we may face. We seek to help prepare the family of God spiritually, emotionally and physically."
"Our first level of preparation is spiritual. Without faith in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, faith in the Messiah Yeshua; without obedience to His instructions of Torah, no amount of preparation in the physical will matter in the end.
EMOTIONAL PREPARATION
"The emotions or inner man is the bridge between the spiritual and the physical. In the days ahead it is not what is in your pack or the number of scripture verses you have memorized in your head that gives you strength to face the day, but it will be the inner strength which only comes through the trials God has brought us through, trials which have developed the inner strength and stability for our whole being.
PHYSICAL PREPARATION
"Physical preparation is the subject we think of first when we look at the days ahead. We may think of food, water, shelter and medicine first, and though they may be important, they are last on our list. We can remain alive 3 minutes without air, three hours without shelter, three days without water and three weeks without food, but without God's presence in our lives moment by moment, we are but dead men walking! Though much of this web site is devoted to physical preparation, please keep in mind it is not to become our focus or our fear.
There are also natural medicine and food sources available in our areas where we live. We just have to know what we are looking at. Go to our natural sources site.
You may also consider preparation by raising chickens: Click Here.
Mike has an excellent PREPAREDNESS SEMINAR ON DVD FIELD TESTED RESOURCES to teach you how to prepare how to help you and your loved ones to survive in difficult times, even should they be the Great Tribulation.
We also provide as a service a list of items (below) that you may consider for survival supplies.
In fact, at the current price of over $1700.00 an ounce, most of us cannot afford it. BUT we can afford some extra supplies! Every time we go to the store, we can buy an extra can or box of something. We can purchase an extra roll of toilet paper to store until needed.
Many sites talking about survival in tough times recommend the "Survive in Place" strategy. That is: prepare to walk through the initial stages of a disaster scenerio at your home. Only if you have no other choice but to move from your home to another location do you move.
Home is familiar to you. Home is where you have your food, water, shelter, etc. Home is where you should prepare.
If you purchase extra necessities for life now, perhaps you could use them when things get tough to barter for other things. Learn to barter.
Preparation for tough times ahead is what this page is all about.
So, some will ask: "What if we have done all this preparation as you recommend and are "Raptured out of here" before the Great Tribulation hits?
BUT if they are wrong about a "Pre-trib Rapture," then you will wish you had prepared even a little....
Please Note: This is not a complete list of good websites for information on survival preparation. If you are the owner of a good web site and would like your site to be placed here, please email me, I will review your site and if accepted, I will add it to this list. Thank you.
