"Useless Eaters"

Introduction

That's what Hitler and his minions called the "less valuable" people in his Reich: the retarded, the elderly, the sick and the handicapped as "useless eaters." Hitler ordered that tens of thousands of "useless eaters" be murdered in the early 1930s as a prelude to the Holocaust.

Eventually, the list would be broadened to include homosexuals, Jehovah's Witnesses, Gypsies and Jews who were a blight on the world and consumed valuable resources...

The methods used for mass extermination in the Nazi death camps originated and were perfected in earlier use against people with physical, emotional, and intellectual disabilities. Hitler understood that if German doctors, nurses and ordinary citizens could be conditioned to murder the elderly, the sick, the handicapped and the retarded, it would be much easier to get them to eventually exterminate over 6 million Jewish men, women and children in the ovens and gas chambers of Nazi death camps.

So, who determines who is on the list of "Useless Eaters?" Of course, Hitler's government!

Though the atrocities against other groups than the Jews must not be minimized (and I do not wish to do that), I want to focus on the stupidity and foolishness of Hitler's classification of the Jewish people as "Useless Eaters" in his Reich.

Jews - "Useless Eaters?"

It is a fact that Jews make up only about 0.1955% of the world population. Yet, for the smallness of their population, they have contributed so much to the world: many of their contributions to science and society are practical and beneficial to our everyday lives (e.g. anesthesia, penicillin, etc.); not to forget Einstein's Theory of Relativity. And they're making new breakthroughs all the time, not just once-upon-a-time during some wistfully recalled Golden Age in the long gone past.

Many Jewish people are leaders in scientific, social and medical breakthroughs: they are physicists, they are anthropologists, they are medical doctors, psychologists, mathematicians, musicians - you name it - they are leaders in it.

There are many Nobel laurelates. Since its inception in 1895 till the last presentations in 2007, there have been 155 Nobel Prize laureates who are of Jewish lineage.

49 for the Nobel Prize in Medicine/Biomedical Sciences (out of 189 total winners, or 25.9%)

27 for the Nobel Prize in Chemistry (out of 150 total winners, or 18%)

23 for the Nobel Prize in Economics (out of 61 total winners, or 37.7% - yes, stereotypically Jewish money sense lol!)

44 for the Nobel Prize in Physics (out of 180 total winners, or 24.4%)

12 for the Nobel Prize in Literature (out of 104 total winners, or 11.5%)

Out of the total 684 Nobel laureates for the above categories, a full 22.66% of them have been of Jewish lineage.

An amazing list of achievements for a people who comprise just 0.1955% of the world population!

That, is a statistical over-representation of Jewish people among Nobel Prize laureates to the value of 11590.793% (i.e there are 115.9 times as many Jewish Nobel laureates as there would be if every race had equal representation among the Nobel Prize winners).

For "Useless Eaters" there sure have been many productive Jewish people, contributing to the betterment of the whole world!

Hitler's Idiocy

I wonder: of all the 6,000,000 Jews that were exterminated in Hitler's Holocaust, "How many potential Nobel laurelates were destroyed? How many medical doctors and potential medical doctors were lost? How many physicists and potential physicists were murdered? How many musicians and potential musicians destroyed?"

I could go on and on.

My point: Hitler's stupidity and blindness caused Germany to lose some of the most brilliant, most productive, the most influential people in the whole world! By destroying the Jewish people, he was slitting the throat of Germany’s capability and productivity and crippling all the nations he sent his SS thugs into to destroy the Jewish people found there!

Today's Neo-Nazi's Following Suit

Unfortunately, the idiocy did not end with the suicide of Adolf Hitler - who (as a wuss) committed suicide just before the Russians would have captured him! He didn't even have the courage to face the judgment for the Holocaust he started!

No, the idiocycontinues to live through the various groups of neo-Nazis and White Supremists around the world today who propagate such idiotic nonsense.

I wonder, if we collected statistics on the numbers of these groups of people who subscribe to this nonsense, how many of them have Nobel laurelates? How many of them are doctors, physicists, etc? I would suspect that such groups have very few for their numbers!

Not to Demean People

My point in this article is not to demean people or to question their intelligence.

What I wish to do is to challenge the idiocy of their philosophy which puts a value on a person's life by looking at their race, their religion, their physical or mental fitness, their nationality, etc. It doesn't take a lot of brains to do this. It is easy for us to make racial jokes, or handicap jokes, or Polish, Irish, and Jewish jokes. It is easy for us to point the finger at another group of people and look down upon them as being inferior to us, or to "our type." That's human nature.

But, it doesn't excuse such behavior.

What we need to realize is that some of the people that are physically handicapped may be more intelligent, capable or valuable to society as a whole than even we think we are!

Let me give you an example: Stephen Hawking - who is a British theoretical physicist. Hawking is the Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at the University of Cambridge, and a Fellow of Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge. He is known for his contributions to the fields of cosmology and quantum gravity, especially in the context of black holes, and his popular works in which he discusses his own theories and cosmology in general. Hawking is disabled by amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). The illness has progressed over the years and he is now almost completely paralysed.

In Hitler's Germany, he would have been euthanized as a "useless eater."

See how stupid that philosophy is?

If that could have happened, what would have Hitler's Germany lost? Much!

The same thing with the destruction of the Jews and others in Hitler's Germany. The German nation lost a valuable resource in the Holocaust by the destruction of their people: the handicapped, the lame, the Jews and other groups of "unwanted" people!

Perhaps people's true value isn't measured by the amount in their bank account, or how powerful they are, or how physically fit, or from which race they spring...

Perhaps they have value because they are "created in God's image."

Thus, the handicapped, the unborn, the poor, the weak, the powerless, the members of other races and nations ALL have infinite value because of the Infinite Value of the One from Whom we all originate!

P.S. - One More Thing..."

Many White Supremists in America say to those who belong to a minority that originate from another country, "Go Home to where you belong!"

They forget that #1) America would probably not be a country if it were not for a minority - Jew - Haym Salomon (1740-1785) !

#2) A minority (the American Indians) occupied this country before their ancestors came to this land.

#3) Many minority people who came to this country or were descendants of those who came to this country were productive people (Booker T. Washington, George Washington Carver, etc.) who benefitted the whole nation by their contributions.

In short, I think we all need to get rid of our assumptions of the value of people and come to God's assessment of each and every person in this world: we ALL have value because of Him.
